Jacob Chandler is a multidisciplinary designer based in the South of England, working under the artist name Adfail. A word that means

“to ruin” in Welsh.

Guided by the motto “To ruin art, you must first create it”.

His practice embraces, experimentation, boldness, and the beauty

of imperfection.

Since 2015, he's been shaping visual identities across music and culture, currently working in-house at BMG, while continuing to develop independent projects.

His work spans album artwork, campaign design, digital assets, 3D design and animation, as well as broader creative direction, he's always aiming to create visuals that connect as strongly as the music they represent.

Over the years, he's collaborated with a wide spectrum of artists, from global icons like Blink-182, Blondie, Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, Depeche Mode, Harry Styles, and Rosalia, to rising talents carving their own paths. He's  also worked with leading labels and other music related comapnies including: Columbia, Ninja Tune, Polydor, RCA, Warner Records, XL, Ceremony Of Roses, Terrible* and 4AD.

Whether for a legendary band or an emerging voice, his focus remains the same: to build imagery that resonates, disrupts, and leaves a mark.
